Vote bank can really make you do all the things. Mc-Cain knows that India and Brazil has large number of diasporas there and to get their vote you need to show that your being successful will help them.
But whatever Indians are in a win-win situation.

McCain made it tough for Democrat candidates by supporting the seat for India and Brazil in the G8. His call to exclude Russia is even more surprising for policy makers in USA. Is McCain not in favor to maintain healthy relation with Russia?

I agree with Arjun. Its vote bank politics. And certainly US and Russia has not been in good relations ever since Cold war, though they manage to present a picture otherwise externally.

Anyway, For India its a good news.
